Onyx + Petal was born out of necessity during my personal journey with severe skin and fragrance sensitivities. Growing up as one of nine children in a household with limited means, luxury was a rare experience. Yet my father taught us to find joy in life’s simple little luxuries. Whether savoring a cup of quality coffee, writing with a cherished pen, or enjoying a family hike in nature, he showed us that the smallest comforts could become life’s greatest treasures.
This appreciation for understated indulgences became deeply ingrained in me and ultimately inspired the creation of Onyx + Petal—a heartfelt tribute to my father and a celebration of the beauty in simplicity. I wanted to craft an approachable, luxury self-care line featuring clean, non-toxic products inspired by nature that bring joy and wellness to everyday life.
